Evan Keith Langert, Esq.

Evan Langert is a seasoned Maryland corporate and real estate law attorney and commercial real estate broker, licensed in the State of Maryland since 1985. Although his practice areas are considerably more diverse, Mr. Langert has spent the majority of his career in the nationacommercial real estate and business law arenas. He served for nine years with Glenborough Realty Trust (GLB on the NYSE) as the company's head transactional attorney for the eastern United States. During his tenure at Glenborough, Evan served as compnay's head leasing attorney and negotiated hundreds of office, retail, and industrial lease transactions in over twenty different states. He has consummated lease deals with such companies as Lord and Taylor, Circuit City, Outback Steakhouse, Hometown Buffet, Starbuck's, Chipotle, Clear Channel Communications, Fed Ex, Bella Photography, Recorded Books LLC, ProTech, The International Rescue Committee, and scores of other major national, regional, and local tenants.

In addition to his tenure at Glenborough, Evan spent five years in the commercial real estate division of Maryland National Bank in Baltimore and Rockville. He also worked for Sam Gorlitz, the founder of $4.5 billion Maryland-based retail REIT Federal Realty Investment Trust in Chevy Chase.

Evan's experience as a commercial real estate broker, retail tenant, and lender has allowed him the rare opportunity to have experienced transactions from all perspectives, which enables him to craft win-win solutions that others may not see.

Evan graduated from the prestigious Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, College Park in 1982. He received his law degree from Florida State University (a top 50 law school) in 1985.

Evan has a passion for business, and has owned both a pizza franchise and a fine art gallery. He has also represented numerous landlords, tenants, developers, buyers and sellers as a licensed real estate broker, holding active brokerage licenses in both Maryland and California. He enjoys being around the business climate and working with entrepreneurs both large and small. As a former small business owner, he understands the challenges and the pitfalls that small businesses can face. He enjoys helping business owners navigate those challenges.

He is a longtime musician, singer, and songwriter, and he presently serves on the praise and worship team at Immanuel's Church in Silver Spring, Maryland. He has been a praise worship leader and church leader for many years. As a result, he has made many wonderful relationships with pastors and other church leaders, and he enjoys representing both the legal and real estate needs of the church community.
