Evan Langert

Attorney by Background
President · The Langert Commercial Group, Inc.

For more than 20 years, Evan Langert has represented buyers, sellers, landlords, tenants, investors, churches, schools, and business owners throughout Maryland, Washington, D.C., and beyond (we've done numerous investment deals from New York to Florida). As President of The Langert Commercial Group, Inc., Evan specializes in commercial real estate sales, leasing, investment properties, church and nonprofit real estate, office buildings, retail centers, industrial properties, land, and multifamily assets. His clients benefit from a unique combination of high-level legal, lending, ownership, and brokerage experience that allows him to identify opportunities, solve problems, and navigate complex transactions with confidence.

Before entering commercial real estate brokerage, Evan spent almost a decade as the senior transactional real estate attorney for the eastern half of the United States for a multi-billion-dollar publicly traded real estate investment trust (REIT). The REIT was also fully diversified, with significant retail, office, industrial, multifamily, and hospitality portfolios in over 20 different states. As such, Evan received an extensive education on dealing with all five major property types. Earlier in his career, he worked as a commercial real estate lender at one of the top 25 banks in the country, evaluating and financing a wide range of investment and owner-user properties. This background provides clients with insights that extend beyond those offered by traditional brokerages, including transaction structuring, due diligence, lease analysis, financing considerations, risk assessment, and negotiations.

Evan has successfully represented clients in the sale and leasing of retail, office, industrial, religious, educational, multi-family, hospitality, and investment properties across the Washington and Baltimore metropolitan regions. His experience includes helping churches and nonprofit organizations maximize the value of their real estate assets, assisting franchisees and other business owners with site selection and expansion strategies, and advising investors on acquisition, disposition, and leasing opportunities. He is known for providing practical, straightforward advice grounded in decades of real-world commercial real estate experience.

At The Langert Commercial Group, clients work directly with an experienced commercial real estate professional who remains personally involved throughout every stage of the assignment. Whether the objective is buying or selling a commercial property, locating investment opportunities, leasing office, retail or industrial space, acquiring land for development, or evaluating a church or nonprofit property, Evan's focus is the same: delivering thoughtful guidance, strong advocacy, and results-driven commercial real estate solutions throughout Maryland, Washington, D.C., and beyond.

Evan Langert is an attorney by background. The Langert Commercial Group provides commercial real estate brokerage and advisory services only — the firm does not practice law, render legal advice, or accept legal engagements.

Faith Facilities & Houses of Worship

Church real estate presents unique challenges involving zoning, parking, nonprofit governance, and balancing financial considerations with ministry objectives — and Evan brings a rare personal understanding to this work as a Bible school graduate and praise and worship leader of more than 25 years.
